Coomba Falls located approximately 2 kms east of Maidenwell is a natural beauty spot featuring granite cliffs and a deep natural swimming hole.

The Palms National Park is a very small national park consisting of mixed palm vine forest and subtropical rainforest. A special feature of the park are the piccabeen palms and grey headed flying foxes found roosting in the summer months.

The Bunya Mountains National Park is the western most rainforest national park in South East Queensland. It consists of 11,700 hectares and rises 600 metres above the surrounding plains. It is famous for the distinctive dome shaped bunya trees.
Muntapa tunnel is Queensland's longest straight railway tunnel at 287 metres. The disused tunnel is now home to a colony of bent winged bats. The tunnel is closed for a few months during winter to protect the bats during their breeding season, however tourists can walk through during the summer months. The tunnel was opened in 1913 and was closed in 1964.

The Seven Mile Diggings out of Nanango offers the amateur prospector the chance to take a little gold back with them from their holidays. The fields originally worked back in the late 1800's still provide alluvial gold to the patient prospector.
