Terms & Conditions

Yarraman Caravan Park & Cabins is a family-run, pet-friendly park in the heart of Yarraman, hosted by Tania and Marc. Here is what you need to know before you book, what we ask of you, and how we handle the occasional thing that goes wrong. It applies to every booking, cabins, sites and camping, however you book with us. Most of all, we want you to feel welcome, settle in and enjoy a relaxed stay with us!

Accepting These Terms

  • These Terms apply to every booking and stay at Yarraman Caravan Park & Cabins (“the Park”, “we”, “us”).
  • The person who makes a booking accepts these Terms on behalf of everyone in their group, including children and visitors.
  • Every stay here is for a genuine holiday. By booking, you agree: “I am a tourist entering Yarraman Caravan Park & Cabins for holiday purposes only. It is not my principal place of residence.”
  • These Terms work alongside any House Rules or signage around the Park.
  • Nothing here takes away rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded by contract, see “Our Responsibility and Yours” below.

Your Booking and Payment

  • All fees are due on or before arrival.
  • Your booking is accepted for the number of guests and pets stated on your booking confirmation. Any additional guests or pets not declared may incur further charges, or require an additional site or cabin.
  • Rates are based on 2 people per site or cabin: $10/person/night extra on sites, $15/person/night extra in cabins. Regular and Family Cabins add $15/person/night if you would rather use a separate bed than share (this does not apply to the Twin Deluxe Cabin). Linen is provided in all cabins.
  • Rates are in Australian dollars, include GST, and can change. Discounts and deals are applied on payment and cannot be combined with each other.
  • We may decline to accept a booking, acting reasonably, for example if the Park is fully booked, or a previous stay involved a serious breach of these Terms.
  • Bookings can only be made by someone 18 years or older.
  • Groups of 10 or more sites or cabins get 15% off, and free use of the Club Room by prior arrangement. Special deals come with their own conditions on top of these Terms.
  • We are part of the G’Day Parks network and offer G’Day Rewards membership. Separate membership terms apply, see “Booking Through Another Website” below.

Booking Through Another Website

  • You can also book with us through third-party platforms such as Hipcamp, G’Day Parks, Book Australia, Campermate and similar sites. Once you arrive, our Terms and House Rules apply to your stay the same as for any other guest.
  • Each of those platforms has its own booking and payment terms, including how cancellations and refunds work, please check those before you book, as they may be different from “Cancellations and Refunds” below.
  • If you need to cancel, change or query a booking made through one of these platforms, please contact us first. We will process it through that platform for you, and that platform’s own rules and charges will apply rather than ours.
  • We do our best to keep our availability and rates accurate everywhere we are listed, but occasionally something goes wrong on a third-party site, a booking that should not have gone through, or a listing that is out of date. That is outside our control, but let us know if it happens and we will do what we reasonably can to sort it out, an alternative site or cabin, different dates, or help chasing a refund through the platform.

Cancellations and Refunds

  • More than 14 days before arrival: refunded, less a $20 booking fee, or held as credit toward a future stay with no fee deducted.
  • Within 14 days of arrival: no refund. Once your stay has started: no refund or credit for the rest of it, including if you leave early.
  • Date changes are fine with enough notice. Less than 14 days’ notice may mean a $20 admin fee.
  • This applies even if the reason is bad weather or a cancelled event, travel insurance is worth considering if that is a concern for you.
  • If we need to cancel or move your booking, rather than you, none of the above applies. We will offer you another option, a refund, or a credit instead.
  • Please cancel or change bookings in writing, an email to bookings@yarramancp.com.au is perfect.

Check-In, Check-Out and Getting in Touch

  • Sites: check-in from 11:00am. Cabins: check-in from 2:00pm. Check-out is 10:00am for both.
  • Cabin late check-ins can usually be arranged ahead of time, please contact us to discuss. Late check-ins on sites are not encouraged, as they may disturb other guests camping nearby. All late arrivals need to be arranged during office hours, before you arrive.
  • A later check-out needs approval before 6:00pm the night before, and may cost extra. Please return keys to the cow mailbox outside the office.
  • We will ask for photo ID from at least one adult at check-in, and keep a simple guest register, this helps us do a headcount quickly if there is ever an emergency.
  • We reserve the right to relocate a booking from any site or cabin, without notice.
  • We try to honour site and cabin preferences but cannot guarantee them, let staff know what you are after when you book.
  • Cabin stays of 7 nights or longer include a weekly service. Extra servicing is available for a fee.
  • Reception is open 9:00am to 6:00pm, 7 days a week, closed Christmas Day. Call 07 4163 8185, text 0481 075 635, or email bookings@yarramancp.com.au. After hours, the emergency contact for the day is posted outside reception.

Your Party, Children and Visitors

  • The guest numbers on your booking are fixed, please tell us if that changes.
  • Guests under 18 are not permitted to stay overnight in the Park unless accompanied by an adult in their group.
  • Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising children at all times throughout the Park. Please pay particular attention in the amenities block, children must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Top bunks are not suitable for children under 9, in line with Australian Standard AS/NZS 4220.
  • Each cabin has a maximum occupancy depending on its type, we will confirm this when you book, and it may be subject to our discretion.
  • All visitors are to report to the Park Office on arrival, and no visitors are allowed after 10:00pm. You are responsible for the conduct of your visitors, and fees apply for overnight stays or use of facilities (like the pool or showers) by visitors. Visitor parking is near reception.

Pets

We are genuinely pet-friendly, no extra fees or cleaning charges for well-behaved pets on our sites or in our pet-friendly cabins. Just a few things that keep everyone happy:

  • Pets are welcome at the manager’s discretion. A maximum of two is allowed per site or cabin, unless you have made special arrangements with us in advance.
  • Pets must always be on a lead.
  • Pets should not be left unattended in the Park unless approved by management.
  • Pets are not permitted inside shared park facilities, ensuites, amenities, the laundry, the playground, the pool, or any Park-owned or rental van, and not on cabin beds.
  • Pets must be cleaned up after, and their noise kept to a minimum, especially during quiet hours.
  • Pets are your responsibility, including anything they damage or anyone they hurt.
  • Pets, or their owners, may be asked to leave if the pet is aggressive, causing damage, or the subject of repeated complaints.
  • Accredited assistance animals are always welcome and are not affected by this clause.

Vehicles, Power and Charging

  • A speed limit of 5km/h, walking pace, applies throughout the Park, please watch for children, pets and pedestrians.
  • Anyone driving within the Park must hold a current licence, and anything you tow must be currently insured.
  • Lock up and secure valuables, especially overnight, see “Our Responsibility and Yours” for our position on vehicles and belongings.
  • Powered sites have a 15amp power supply, to match your 15amp cable. The switches are circuit breakers, if one trips, bring it firmly down, then back up.
  • EV charging is not included in your fee. We only offer standard power-point charging, at $15/night, arranged with reception before you plug in. Charging without letting us know first may mean a $50 charge.
  • E-bikes, e-scooters, mobility scooters and anything similar need to be arranged with reception before you charge them. There is no charge for this at present. Please charge outside your cabin or at your site, on the ground or another hard surface, clear of exit paths. If you do need to charge inside, keep the device on a hard floor, not on carpet or a bed, and clear of exit paths.
  • Use the charger that came with the device, unplug it once it is full, and please do not charge overnight or while you are out. If a battery looks damaged or feels hot, do not plug it in, leave it outside away from cabins and cars and let reception know.
  • Please follow the Park’s speed limit while riding e-bikes and e-scooters.

Park Facilities

  • Please keep your belongings within your site boundaries, and avoid tying ropes or lines to trees, fences or Park structures.
  • Disposing of waste in toilets or drains is not permitted, charges apply for any breach.
  • All tap water in the Park is town water. Water restrictions apply from time to time, so please check with reception.
  • The Club Room and table tennis are available on request at the office, subject to availability. A deposit may apply.
  • Courtesy buses pick up and drop off outside the office only. These (such as the Royal Hotel’s) are run by someone else, we are not responsible for that service.
  • No drones anywhere in the Park, ask at the office for a copy of our Drone Policy if you would like one.

Using the Park, the Pool and Other Shared Areas

Worth knowing before you arrive

Like any outdoor holiday spot, staying here involves some inherent risk. That is true right across the Park, on your site or camping area just as much as at the pool, playground, camp kitchen, Club Room, table tennis, or the fire areas: uneven ground, insects and wildlife, weather, fire, water, falling branches, and sharing space with other guests, kids and pets. We inspect the trees across the Park regularly, but branches can still fall without warning, it is a natural risk we cannot fully eliminate.

By staying with us and using these areas, you are agreeing to do so at your own risk and to follow any posted rules. There is no lifeguard at the pool, ever, so children need supervision there and everywhere else in the Park.

Fire Safety

  • A communal fire area sits beside the Club Room, within the stone enclosure, please supervise children and extinguish fully after use (hose provided).
  • You are welcome to bring your own fire pit or brazier for your site, as long as it is raised off the ground.
  • Never leave a fire unattended, and be mindful of smoke drifting toward your neighbours.
  • During a fire ban, no fires or firepits anywhere in the Park, check the blackboard outside the office or the Queensland Fire Department website first.
  • Cold ash only, in the metal bins provided. Firewood and kindling are available to buy at the office.
  • Yarraman is a bushfire-prone area, please follow any fire ban or direction from the Queensland Fire Department or Park management without exception, and do not tamper with smoke alarms in your cabin.
  • In an emergency, head to your nearest Emergency Assembly Area (the Club Room or Van Arrival Parking).
  • For charging e-bikes and e-scooters, see “Vehicles, Power and Charging” above.

Damage, Cleaning and Smoking

  • All internal areas, accommodation, the Club Room and amenities, are non-smoking. Evidence of smoking in a non-smoking area means a $200 cleaning and deodorising charge.
  • Please leave the camp kitchen and other shared facilities clean and tidy for the next guests, and leave your accommodation in a reasonable state. Excessive cleaning required beyond normal wear and tear may incur a charge.
  • You are responsible for any other loss or damage to Park property too.
  • We may take a bond at check-in, especially for cabins, refunded after check-out less anything properly deducted above.

Your Belongings

  • Non-perishable lost property is kept for 3 months, then disposed of at the discretion of park management. Please get in touch if you have left something behind, if you would like it posted back to you, this may be subject to postal fees.
  • For vehicles, caravans and anything left in or on them, see “Our Responsibility and Yours” below.

House Rules

  • Noise must be kept at a reasonable level, and all noise is to cease by 10:00pm. Please be considerate of others.
  • Sites and cabins are for your named Booking Party only, please do not sub-let or pass your booking on to anyone else.
  • Overnight guests and vehicles must be registered with us, please let reception know who is staying and what is parked on your site.
  • Please bag rubbish before placing it in bins, and use the recycling bins provided where you can.
  • We may ask a guest to leave, without a refund, if they are abusive, threatening or violent toward our staff or other guests, behaving in a socially unacceptable way, causing damage, disturbing other guests, using unacceptable language, or otherwise breaching these Terms or the Park Rules. Violence or illegal activity may also be reported to police.

Privacy and Photos

  • We handle your personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and our Privacy Policy. You can ask to access or correct your details, or raise a concern, any time by contacting us.
  • CCTV operates in parts of the Park for the safety and security of guests, staff and property, with signage where cameras are in use. Footage is handled under the Privacy Act too.
  • We occasionally take general photos and videos around the Park for our website and social media. We are careful not to focus on identifiable individuals without asking, but you might appear in the background. Let reception know at check-in if you would rather not, and you can ask us to take a photo down at any time. Photo competitions or promotions come with their own terms about how your photos are used.
  • If you tag us or use #yarramancaravanpark on social media, we may repost or share your photo or video, with credit where we can. Let us know if you would rather we did not, and we will take it down.

Our Responsibility and Yours

  • Nothing here takes away your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If something we provide fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you are entitled to what the law gives you, a repair, replacement, refund or compensation, regardless of anything else in this section.
  • For personal injury from using the Park’s recreational facilities, see “Using the Park, the Pool and Other Shared Areas” above, our position there relies on specific consumer law and Queensland’s Civil Liability Act, and does not apply to reckless conduct on our part or to property damage.
  • For vehicles, caravans and other belongings, see “Vehicles, Power and Charging” and “Your Belongings” above for our full position, including the specific protection that applies to cabin stays under Queensland law.
  • Beyond that, and as far as the law allows, our total liability to you is capped at what you paid for your booking, and we are not liable for indirect losses like wasted travel costs.
  • You agree to cover us for any loss or cost we reasonably face because of something negligent, reckless or unlawful done by you, your group, your visitors, or your pet, unless we contributed to it.

Events Beyond Our Control

  • Neither of us is responsible for delays or failures caused by things beyond reasonable control, natural disasters, extreme weather, fire, flood, cyclone, pandemic, government restrictions, or infrastructure failure.
  • If something like this stops us providing your booking, we will be in touch as soon as we can with an alternative date, credit, or refund, where reasonably possible.

If You Have a Concern

  • Please tell reception during your stay if anything is not right, we would rather fix it while you are still here.
  • If it is not sorted out before you leave, or you only notice once you are home, email bookings@yarramancp.com.au with your booking details and what happened, and we will get back to you as soon as we reasonably can.

The Fine Print

  • We may update these Terms over time, the version that applied when you booked governs your stay, unless the law requires otherwise. If you are reading a printed or downloaded copy, the current version always lives at yarramancp.com.au/terms-conditions/.
  • Not enforcing something on one occasion does not mean we have given up the right to later.
  • While we try to keep our website and listings accurate, let us know if you spot an error and we will fix it.
  • These Terms, our House Rules, and our Privacy Policy make up the whole agreement between us for your stay.
